Thought, designed, and crafted with passion by the local publishing house, The Friendly Books, this work is much more than just a cookbook. 

It’s a blend of authentic recipes and a journal of encounters with the inhabitants of Friendly Island.


Following the success of the first volume published in November 2021, The Friendly Books is offering a new creation this year with more pages, more recipes, more interactions with local chefs, and a premium hardcover. It’s a true celebration of the territory’s culture and its people.


The project has been enriched through collaboration with the talented photographer Alexandra Schaede, who was born and raised in Sint Maarten. 

Her sensitivity and keen eye have allowed her to capture the spontaneity of moments of sharing and camaraderie with the chefs.
